Knee medial collateral ligament partial tear

Presentation

Twisting injury 2 weeks ago. ? medial meniscal tear.

Patient Data

Age: 25
Gender: Male
Modality: MRI

Partial tearing of the proximal fibres of the medial collateral ligament with oedema deep and superficial to the ligament (grade 2 injury). A small focus of marrow oedema is seen at the proximal attachment of the ligament. Low grade intra-substance signal within the anterior cruciate ligament may indicate low grade sprain. No other abnormality seen.

Partial tearing of the proximal fibres of the medial collateral ligament with oedema deep and superficial to the ligament (grade 2 injury).
