Presentation

Foot pain.

Modality: X-ray

Increased density and flattening of the navicular. 

Modality: MRI

Loss of signal intensity in marrow of navicular bone.

Case Discussion

Navicular osteonecrosis can be either idiopathic or traumatic.

Kohler's Disease is a condition of the midfoot of young children. Kohler's Disease is most common in children around the age of 5 years (age 3-7 years). These children will typically complain of foot pain or may limp slightly.
