Flattened, sclerosed, and irregularly outlined right navicular bone, the radiographic appearance is in keeping with Kohler disease. Mild-to-moderate diffuse osteopenia within the right foot bones.
The majority of the cases are unilateral presenting in children between 3 and 7 years of age. The osseous structures may be flattened, irregular and diminutive; however, the surrounding interosseous space maybe maintained. Over several years, the changes may reverse themselves such that the navicular bone may appear normal.
