Presentation

Developmental delay.

Patient Data

Age: 4 month
Gender: Female
ct

Faint calcifications and hyperdensities are seen along bilateral corticospinal tracts (extending from bilateral centrum semiovale/corona radiata to thalami).

Enlargement of subarachnoid spaces surrounding bilateral frontotemporal lobes.

Case Discussion

The CT features are suggestive of Krabbe disease also called globoid cell leukodystrophy. The patients can present with delayed milestones.
