4/52 worsening low back pain, with radicular pains into the left lower limb. Numbness and some weakness of the foot.

Large L5/S1 left paracentral disc extrusion with cranial ascent to the level of the upper L5 vertebral body. The disc extrusion extends into the left lateral recess and left foraminal origin, impinging on both the exiting L5 and descending S1 nerve roots.
The remaining levels are normal. L1 conus. Normal cauda equina.
