Huge superficial mass centered on the right side of the introitus, measuring 19 x 17 cm. The mass is heterogeneous with prominent vasculature along with superficial vascular dilatation along the right lateral aspect. No extension into the peritoneal cavity.
The solid organs normal. No para-aortic iliac or inguinal lymphadenopathy.
Large superficial introitus mass – soft tissue sarcoma would be high on the list of differential diagnoses.
A recognized condition in an uncommon location with an advanced presentation. This turned out to be a histologically proven labial sarcoma.
Patients may present late to medical attention for numerous reasons, including fear, social factors, health care availability, or embarrassment.
