Lacrimal gland lymphoma

Presentation

PH of lymphoma. Now has swelling on lateral aspect of the right orbit. Non-painful.

Patient Data

Age: 70 years
Gender: Male
ct

Solid, enhancing mass contiguous with the right lacrimal gland extending into the subcutaneous tissues overlying the outer border of the orbit.

Prior to guided biopsy

ultrasound

Vascular solid mass in lateral orbit extending into the adjacent soft tissue.  Successfully biopsied under US control.  Resultant: low grade B-cell lymphoma.

Case Discussion

There are few lacrimal mass lesions notably primary neoplasms and lymphoma.  Developmental lesions such as dermoid arise in this area but are usually cystic.
