Epigastric pain and weight loss over the last 3 months, recently worsened

Gender: Male

Large ulcer crater (arrows) arising on the lesser curve of the stomach with marked surrounding soft tissue swelling.

Case Discussion

Large penetrating peptic ulcers of the stomach were once common but are now rare due to the ready availablity of effective diagnosis and treatment of H. pylori.
