Complete whiteout of the left hemithorax with a significant mediastinal shift in keeping with a large pleural effusion. Right lung clear.
Case Discussion
This large pleural effusion in an infant was confirmed with ultrasound prior to drainage. In this case, the pleural effusion is secondary to infection.
