CT images show the nidus of osteoid osteoma in the lateral cortical border of the radial head.

The tumor was treated percutaneously by laser photocoagulation. Axial CT images show an 18G needle used as a co-axial system to insert the soft laser optical fiber. Note the positioning of the active tip of the optic fiber at the center of the nidus. 2 watts were applied for 10 minutes.

1 year follow up CT images show successful destruction of the nidus of osteoid osteoma with modification of the periosteal reaction that became a thick simple layer as a sequela of destruction.
Case Discussion
1-year follow-up CT scan images show sequelae of osteoid osteoma nidus ablation, with no recurrence. Clinically, the patient is free of pain.
