Ankle twist - 1 yr back. C/o persistant pain.

Patient Data

Age: about 50 - 55 yrs
Gender: Male
x-ray

There is no bony abnormality.

ultrasound

Anterior talo-fibular ligament

  • No breach in continuity
  • Thick, hypoechoic as compared to asymptomatic right

Calcaneo-fibular ligament        

  • No breach in continuity
  • Thickened and hypoechoic compared to the asymptomatic right

Peroneal tendons                   

  • Intact with normal echopattern

Ankle joint

  • No effusion
