Ankle radiographs revealed an isolated lateral malleolus fracture above the tibiofibular syndesmosis level (Weber type C).
Case Discussion
Isolated lateral malleolus fractures represent the most common pattern of ankle fractures.
The most widespread classification systems are the Weber and Lauge-Hansen, although neither are used to reliably guide treatment.
