A right frontal lobe lesion with 'bubbly appearance (multiple cystic areas)' is seen with altered signal areas in its periphery. An area of restricted diffusion is seen in lateral medulla on left side.
Case Discussion
That patient was being planned for surgery of possible right frontal low grade glioma, based on CT appearance (done in other hospital). However, it didn't explain his neurological symptoms. MRI showed quite correlative lateral medullary syndrome as likely etiology of his symptoms. Plan of surgery was dropped, as it was provisionally a low grade glioma (possibly DNET - dysembryoplastic neuroepithelial tumor).
