Presentation
The patient presented with cerebellar ataxia, loss of sensation to pain and warm/cold water on the left side for 7 days.

Lateral medullary (Wallenberg) syndrome

A small altered signal intensity area is noted involving the right half of medulla oblongata, the returning signals are iso to hypointense on T1, hyperintense on T2 and T2 FLAIR, however, DWI is not available in this case.
The rest of the brain appears unremarkable.
Case Discussion
The clinical presentation and findings of the current study are more in favour of lateral medullary syndrome as described above.
