Presentation
Headache. No history of giddiness or imbalance while walking.
Patient Data

MRI brain images with CISS sequence show cystic dilatation of lateral semicircular canals and the vestibule on both sides - representing dysplasia.
Bilateral posterior and superior semicircular canals are normal. Both cochlea show two and a half turns with normal intracochlear and intravestibular signals.
Supra- and infratentorial neuroparenchyma appears normal.
Case Discussion
Isolated dysplasia of bilateral lateral semicircular canals and vestibules is rare. Other congenital anomalies of semicircular canals include aplasia and dehiscence of the superior semicircular canal.
