Minimal left apical pneumothorax with bilateral chest tubes, central venous line and NG tubes in place.

Note the sharp thin white line denoting visceral pleura (arrow) and hyperlucency devoid of lung markings above it representing pneumothorax.

Case Discussion

Apical pneumothoraces can be difficult to pick up on plain films and the lung apices should be carefully reviewed.
