Patient Data

Age: 60 years
ct

10mm left sided left atrial diverticulum is arising 2 cm anterior to the left inferior pulmonary vein ostium.

No coronary atherosclerosis. Gastric banding with related small hiatus hernia and mildly dilated distal esophagus. 4.5 cm diameter left lobe hepatic cyst.

Case Discussion

A left atrial diverticulum is a normal variant. It is important to be aware of to avoid interpreting it as pathology.
