Presentation

Increased shortness of breath ?pulmonary embolus. Small bibasal effusions on chest x-ray.

Patient Data

Age: 80 years
Gender: Female

There are low density, smooth and well-marginated areas at two locations in the left atrium. No pulmonary embolus. 

Case Discussion

Left atrial smooth mass-like areas, which were new from recent CT chest 8 weeks prior, and in keeping with atrial thrombus.
