Presentation

5 days of fever and cough

Patient Data

Age: 9
Gender: Male
x-ray

There is retrocardiac density with air bronchograms obscuring the medial portion of the left hemidiaphragm consistent with left lower lobe pneumonia.  Remainder of the lungs are clear.  No pleural effusion or pneumothorax.  Cardiomediastinal contour is normal.

Increased retrocardiac density containing air bronchograms and obscuration of the medial portion of the left hemidiaphragm consistent with left lower lobe pneumonia.
