Right-sided weakness.

Patient Data

Age: 45 years
Gender: Male

Hyperdense MCA sign is present in the left middle cerebral artery representing hyperacute thrombus.

CTA study confirms the occlusion of left MCA.

Loss of grey-white differentiation with edema in the territory of the left middle cerebral artery (mainly frontotemporal lobes) due to ischemic stroke.

The hyperdense MCA sign refers to focal hyperdensity of the middle cerebral artery (MCA) on non-contrast brain CT and is the direct visualization of thromboembolic material within the lumen.
