Presentation

Severe acute pelvic pain.

Patient Data

Age: 45 years
Gender: Female
ct

An 85×55 mm large solid mass with small cystic components are seen at left adnexa. 
The left ovary couldn’t be defined separate than mentioned lesion. Mild surrounding fat stranding and a little amount pelvic free fluid are also observed.

In imaged portions of lower thorax; a little amount pleural effusion is present at right side. 

Case Discussion

Surgical proven left ovarian torsion which refers to rotation of the ovary and portion of the fallopian tube supplying the vascular pedicle.
