Diagnosis almost certain

Presentation

Difficulty in swallowing; Gradually progressive.

Patient Data

Age: 50-60 years
Gender: Male
Barium

Barium swallow demonstrates a rounded filling defect in the left piriform fossa.

CT of the neck confirms the presence of a nodular mass in left pyriform sinus with heterogeneous enhancement.

Case Discussion

The differential is of a mass in the piriform sinus is primarily that of a squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) (most likely) or less likely a minor salivary gland tumor.
