Presentation

Previous myocardial infarction and coronary artery bypass grafting.

Patient Data

Gender: Male
x-ray

Mildly rotated to the left. Median sternotomy wires noted. There is cardiomegaly without evidence of pulmonary edema. The left cardiac contour is abnormal, with a large focal prominence projecting laterally. The lungs and pleural recesses are clear.

There is a large posteroinferior left ventricular true aneurysm with significant basal thrombus and ventricular wall thinning. Multi level degenerative changes of the thoracic spine.
