- significant loss of epiphyseal height of left femoral head with loss of normal signal in all sequences.
- irregularity of the left femoral head with its partial collapse
- mild joint effusion with cystic changes in the metaphysis of left femur
- right femoral head is normal in morphology and signal intensity with normal cartilaginous surface.
The features are suggestive of left side Legg-Calvé-Perthes disease, refers to idiopathic osteonecrosis of the femoral epiphysis which is seen in children.
