Presentation

Dysuria and hematuria.

Patient Data

Age: 45 years
Gender: Female

CT reveals well demarcated, lobulated mass arising from the left posterolateral urinary bladder wall (most probable intramural location), compressing and extending to the left ureterovesical junction. The mass shows minimal peripheral enhancement. No perivesical invasion was noted. There is diffuse perivesical fat edema and grade II hydroureteronephrosis on left.

Case Discussion

The patient underwent a bladder cystoscopy, which revealed an intramural mass with normal urothelium. Surgery was performed and histopathology confirms the diagnosis of the leiomyoma of the urinary bladder.
