Leiomyoma with red degeneration

Large well-defined intramural leiomyoma with endometrial contact (Figo 3) measuring 13 x 10 x 7 cm. It elicits a high signal on T1/T1 fat sat, heterogeneous high signal on T2 with a peripheral rim of low signal on T1 fat sat, T2 and T2 fat sat with no enhancement on the postcontrast sequence.
Normal appearance of the ovaries with small follicles.
Minimal effusion in the Douglas pouch.
Case Discussion
MRI features most consistent with uterine leiomyomas with red or carneous degeneration.
