Case Discussion

Ectopia lentis is most commonly seen in patients after a head injury, like in this case.

Other causes and associations include systemic disorders such as Ehlers-Danlos, homocystinuria or Marfan syndrome.

In cases of multiple intracranial abnormalities, pathologies involving the lenses may be easily missed.
