There is an avulsion fracture with upward displacement of the right lesser trochanter apophysis. No other associated fracture is seen.
Case Discussion
Radiographic appearance of an avulsion fracture of the lesser trochanter apophysis.
The sudden forceful muscular contraction causes avulsion of the lesser trochanter apophysis to which the iliopsoas tendon attaches.
