Lhermitte Duclos disease

Presentation

Giddiness and occasional headache. Prior CT showed cerebellar lesion. Followed up with MRI.

Patient Data

Age: 36
Gender: Male
Modality: MRI

A large heterogenous relatively non-enhancing lesion is seen involving left cerebellar hemisphere, vermis, as well as cerebellar peduncles. The lesion has a striated cystic appearance.

Case Discussion

This is a characteristic MRI imaging of Lhermitte-Duclos disease or dysplastic gangliocytoma of cerebellum.

Patient was biopsied and diagnosis confirmed.
