One year of infrapatellar knee pain, starting after stepping into a pit one year ago

A curvilinear hyperintensity is seen along the area of the infrapatellar plica, which is indicative of an injury.

Case Discussion

The ligamentum mucosum (infrapatellar plica) is a common anatomical variant, if injured it can cause infrapatellar knee pain.
