Vague neck pain. On ultrasonography, the thyroid gland was not seen in the neck. CT neck performed subsequently.

Contrast CT of the neck reveals - Lingual thyroid.

No thyroid tissue us is seen in the neck.

Case Discussion

Lingual thyroid is a distinct type of ectopic thyroid.
