Diffusely increased wall thickness suggests tumoral infiltration at the stomach accompanied by perigastric fat stranding and several regional enlarged lymph nodes.
Case Discussion
Pathology proved gastric adenocarcinoma (signet ring type) causing linitis plastica.
On cross-sectional images of linitis plastica, the stomach is diffusely thickened with a small lumen. Gastric adenocarcinoma (signet ring type), lung and breast cancer metastasis, and lymphoma are on top of the differential list for linitis plastica.
