Gender: Male

Marked joint effusion with frond like projections of fat containing lesions within the synovial fluid. It involves the supra and infra patellar fossa as well as the posterior knee joint compartment

Case Discussion

Lipoma arborescens is the replacement of the normal synovium with a fat containing frond like projections that extends intra articular and usually associated with effusion.
