Frond-like synovial-based lesion expanding the synovial recesses of the knee joint, mainly the supra-patellar recess, outlined by marked joint effusion.
Such lesion follows the signal intensity of fat on all pulse sequences, being of bright signals on T1/T2 WIs, and suppressed on fat sat series.
Associated diffuse synovial thickening is seen around the knee joint.
Case Discussion
This patient had such swelling for over 10 years and was recently treated by synovectomy.
