Frond like fatty projections are seen involving the suprapatellar bursa which is distended by joint effusion. Tricompartmental osteoarthritis changes evident by cartilage denudation, subchondral degenerative changes
Partial severe ACL tear, ACL ganglion cyst, buckled PCL and synovial cyst surrounding the popliteus tendon contains loose body are other findings.
