Left submandibular region oval shaped well defined mass. It exhibits high signal in T1, T2 and suppressed in STIR images. No bony or soft tissue infiltration.

Subcutaneous lipoma is benign tumor arises from subcutaneous adipose tissue.

fat is hyperintense in T1, T2 and PD
fat is hypointense in STIR and FAT SAT
Differential diagnosis of lesions with hyperintense T1 :

slow flowing blood
radiation changes
