Lipoma of the neck

Presentation

Swelling in nape of neck - Few yrs. Recent Mild pain locally.

Patient Data

Age: about 60 yrs
Gender: Female
X-ray

Swelling in cervico-dorsal region.

Changes of degenerative disease of cervical spine.

Ultrasound

An encapsulated lesion is noted in subcutaneous plane. It is compressible. It is iso echoic to deeper muscle without cystic changes / calcifcation. Internal incomplete echogenic lines are noted in the lesion.  Few flow signals are seen in periphery and centre of the lesion.

Case Discussion

Findings favour subcutaneous lipoma of nape of neck.
