Liposarcoma

Presentation

Enlarging left thigh mass.

Patient Data

Age: 60 years old
Gender: Male
ct

There is a large, predominantly fatty mass in the posteromedial aspect of the left thigh which is heterogeneous in appearance with multiple septations that are thickened and enhance. The semintendinosus muscle courses through the center of the mass.

Case Discussion

This case demonstrates the typical appearnces of a liposarcoma, with thickened (>2mm) septations that enhance. Interestingly, the semitendinosus takes its course through the center of the lesion.
