Case Discussion

This lady presented with pain and inability to weight-bear fully following a slip in which her foot was trapped under herself.

She was initially discharged with no fracture seen but was recalled after a formal radiological report detected a fracture of the base of 2nd metatarsal and suggested further imaging to determine the extent of the injury.

On CT a Lisfranc fracture dislocation was confirmed with multiple fractures of the cuneiforms and cuboid.

K-wire stabilization was carried out.
