Lisfranc injury

Pain in foot following trapping of foot under herself following a slip at the swimming baths. Unable to weight-bear. Pain dorsum of foot.

Case Discussion

This lady presented with pain and inability to weight-bear fully following a slip in which her foot was trapped under herself.

She was discharged with no fracture seen.

She was recalled after radiological report detected a fracture of the base of 2nd metatarsal and suggested further imaging to determine the extent of the injury.

On CT a Lisfranc fracture dislocation was confirmed with multiple fractures of the cuniforms and cuboid.

K-wire stabilization was carried out.
