Presentation

Seizures.

Patient Data

Age: 20 years
Gender: Female
mri

Bilateral smooth, broad gyri of occipital lobes and medial temporal lobes involving hippocami.

Periventricular white matter hyperintensity signal in T2WI and FLAIR sequences in parieto-occipital and temporal lobes.

Asymmetry of ventricular system, dilated occipital horn of left lateral ventricle.

Case Discussion

Smooth, broad cortex of occipito-temporal lobes, reduced cortical sulcation, suggestive lissencephaly-pachygyria.
