The MRI sequences demonstrate:
diffuse thickening of the cerebral cortex bilaterally (mean thickness = 18 mm)
smooth outer surface of both cerebral hemispheres with shallow Sylvian fissures giving a figure-8 appearance
dilated ventricular system
no evidence of associated subcortical band heterotopia
