Liver abscess rupture in pleural space

Presentation

Fever and abdominal pain.

Patient Data

Age: 3 years
Gender: Male
ultrasound

There is a hepatic abscess in the right lobe of the liver. The defect is noted in right hemidiaphragm. Right pleural space collection is noted.

Case Discussion

Findings favor intrapleural rupture of right lobe hepatic abscess.

Patient was lost to follow up.
