Wedge of poorly perfused renal parenchyma: lobar nephronia

Case Discussion

Lobar nephronia refers to an intermediate stage between acute pyelonephritis andrenal abscess, and is a focal region of interstitial nephritis. 

It appears as a wedge of poorly perfused renal parenchyma, without a cortical rim sign.
