Knee pain.

Patient Data

Age: 50 years
Gender: Female

A nodular synovial proliferation in the superolateral aspect of the Hoffa's fat pad. The lesion is hypointense on T1WI and hyperintense on PD fat suppression with some foci of low signal in both sequences.

Localized pigmented villonodular synovitis (PVNS) represents a nodular hypertrophic process that originates from a small area of the synovium with pigmentation from hemosiderin.
