Presentation
Work up for abdominal pain and jaundice.
Patient Data
Asymmetrical increased wall thickness due to tumoral infiltration is present at the gallbladder wall. The mass infiltrates the liver hilum and causes intrahepatic bile duct dilatation. Additionally, hepatic flexure and proximal transverse colon are infiltrated by the mass.
Malposition of the left kidney is noted with an anterolaterally rotated hilum. Several non-enhanced simple cortical cysts are seen in both kidneys.
A small volume of the pleural effusion is present bilaterally in the imaged portion of the lower thorax.
A small volume of the free fluid is present in the pelvis.
The prostate gland is enlarged.
Case Discussion
Pathology-proven gallbladder adenocarcinoma with local invasion into the adjacent liver and colon.
