Case Discussion

Esophageal atresia (with or without tracheo-esophageal fistula) may have a short or long-gap between the upper and lower pouches. There are several operative approaches for a long-gap esophageal atresia treatment. in this case, Foker sutures are used to stretch the two pouches to enable primary anastomosis.
