Presentation

Intra-articular synovial sarcoma, status post above knee amputation as a way of primary control.

Patient Data

Age: 25 years
Gender: Male
x-ray

There is a lucent zone of more than 2 mm at the bone-prosthesis interface, there is also cranial migration of the prosthesis. Features are consistent with loosening. 

Case Discussion

Aseptic loosening of the prosthesis is the most common type, where the migration of the prosthesis is diagnostic for loosening.
