The cystic duct has a low, medial insertion after running parallel to the common hepatic duct. Otherwise normal examination. 

Case Discussion

This represents a variant of the cystic duct. Variations of the cystic duct are common, occurring in ~20% of cases. Unrecognised variations may contribute to increased surgical morbidity.
