Abnormal signal intensity is seen at inferior aspect of pons, medulla oblongata and cervical cord (C1-7 levels) which is low signal on T1w and high signal on T2w /FLAIR images. After contrast media injection no apparent enhancement is seen. The lesion causes lower brain stem and cervical cord expansion.
Case Discussion
Features of MRI are the most consistent with a low grade glioma.
